3 Ways To Brighten Your Winter Wardrobe

Happy New Year’s everyone! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday full of fun and adventure. Does it seem like 2018 zoomed right pasted us? Wasn’t it just summer and now we are in this deep freeze? Winter is clearly hear and she has slapped us back to reality. Although she might be cruel our wardrobe doesnt have to succumb to it. Here are 3 ways to kick the winter blues and show her who is BOSS!

1. Start with a bright top

When I think of winter color palettes, the first thing that come to mind is neutral colors merged with dark depressing undertone 🙂 . This winter I want to challenge myself and you guys to add a little bit of color in our wardrobe. Having a dash of color is scary in itself, we all aren’t blessed with a personal styist that will shop for us. It’s 2019 we are here to show the world that a touch of color can bring life to the dull winter palette. Tops are usually the first item that we gravitate toward when we are selecting an outfit. You can start with one bright pieces and mix it with your neutral palette, I choose this smooth stretch mustard top and paired it with high-waisted pants from Aritzia.

2. Brighten Your Makeup

This summer I decided to treat myself, like most of us, I splurged on make up.  I was introduced to Juvia’s Place and fell in love with their palettes instantly! Let me tell you the pigments are amazing! Their palettes range from deep browns to hot pinks. A makeup enthusiasts dream! Since the purse strings feel a bit light this time of the season, going back to summer colors can brighten our mood. Im chanelling Tyra with my fierce smizing.

3. Brighten Your Accessories

If the bright top and makeup is to much for you. Perhaps you can add accessary to brigten up your wardrobe. Such as a bright hand bag, earrings, or scarfs.

I add this multicolour fringe knit cardigan from FOREVER 21 to finish my look.

Let me know what you guys think. Is this look too much for you guys or is it just perfect.

I couldn’t agree more, down with the drab! Winter doesn’t mean we need to sacrifice colour, love that mustard top on you. The make-up I hadn’t thought about, but will now play with!
