Different Types Of Eyeliner

Nothing beats eyeliner, It can change your eye shape and also create a dramatic impact. Eyeliner has been around for many years dating back to ancient Egypt.

For today’s inspiration I asked my friend Jessica to model for us. Jessica is not a stranger to this blog, you can check her out in our bridal shoot. Don’t forget to follow her on Instagram as well.

Eyeliner has become a staple in countless popular makeup looks in the past and the present. There are so many colours, textures and applications to choose from.

In order to get the perfect liner you need to know the three types of eyeliner.

Pencil

A pencil liner, also known as kohl pencil. One of the most popular cream base eyeliners out there. This liner is great for smudging or used to create amazing smoky eye looks by applying it to the waterline and blending it out.

Gel

The gel eyeliner has the same cream base as the pencil eyeliner, but it’s not as easy to blend as the pencil. I recommend you to use an angle makeup brush to apply the gel eyeliner. It’s one of my favorite eyeliners to use. I find that I have more control in applying it. Once the eyeliner dries, it won’t move.

Liquid

Liquid eyeliner are the hardest to use at first,  because of its watery consistency and It’s very high pigmentation. Practice is the key when it comes to liquid eyeliner. Any false move and you may have to start over again.😔😔😔 Don’t give up, I find liquid eyeliner give you that “oomph” to your look in an instant.

While all these 3 types of liner create beautiful wings or cat eyes on their own.  The best way to find which works best for you or which one works best for a certain makeup look, you may want to experiment. You can also mix and match all 3 types to create a unique look for yourself.

Let me know which of these three eyeliners are your favorite.

XOXO

I tried cream eye liner once, and let me tell you it didn’t work out very well!! Haven’t tried it since! I love the look you’ve created in the pictures; blue is hard to pull off imo. Real skill love it. ❤️

With gel liner, practice goes along way. Even as a makeup artist sometimes when it comes to do my eyeliner is not always even. Plus it doesn’t help that my eyes at not even 😂 . But after a while you get the hang of it.
If other liners works for you, go with that😁
